At Lolade Ajai Interior Design, we use The NeuroDesign Blueprint™: a science-backed methodology that integrates neuroscience, environmental psychology, and sensory design to create spaces that quiet your mind, restore your energy, and eliminate hidden stressors that drain your capacity.
Whether you are navigating midlife transitions, managing a multigenerational household or creating a high-performance sanctuary, your home should support, not deplete, your biology.
Our clients are individuals and families navigating life transitions who refuse to settle for homes that drain them:
Midlife women experiencing sensory shifts during hormonal transitions
Families balancing multiple sensory needs in shared spaces
Singles creating sanctuaries for emotional regulation and self-expression
Empty nesters reclaiming their identity and redesigning for their next chapter
High performers working from home who need cognitive clarity
Identify your sensory thresholds, stress triggers, and neurobiological needs.
Correct the environmental mismatches working against your nervous system.
Integrate light, sound, texture, colour, and spatial rhythm into a coherent sensory flow.
Anchor new rituals, cues, and sensory habits into daily life.
A beautiful space means nothing if your body can’t anchor into it.
The NeuroDesign Blueprint™ is our proprietary methodology that translates neuroscience research into interior design specifications.
Before any design transformation begins, your sensory architecture must be decoded.
This diagnostic integrates neuroscience with spatial design intelligence, mapping how your nervous system processes architecture, light, material, and flow.
It reveals where your current environment creates hidden friction that drains energy, focus, and emotional stability, and translates those findings into spatial insights that can be directly implemented by your interior designer or architect.
Without this baseline, design decisions are aesthetic speculation.
With it, design becomes neurophysiological calibration: the science of comfort, performance, and restoration made visible through space.
The Sensory Intelligence Diagnostic reveals:
Your dominant sensory processing patterns and environmental tolerance thresholds
The spatial and sensory mismatches creating cognitive or physiological strain
How your current life phase, hormonal rhythm, and behavioural context influence spatial regulation
Environmental friction zones within your home and their nervous system impact
The design levers most likely to restore focus, rest, and coherence
1. Digital Sensory Profiling
A multidimensional assessment assessing:
Sensory thresholds and tolerance balance, and environmental triggers
HPA axis rhythm, circadian stability, and environmental sensitivity
Behavioural, contextual friction patterns and coping adaptations
Somatic awareness of safety, focus, and rest
Duration: approximately 40–50 minutes
2. Personalised Sensory Summary
A bespoke interpretive neuroscientific document combining neuropsychology decoding and interior design expertise that highlights:
Your primary friction patterns and nervous system sensitivities
Priority spatial zones that require recalibration
Environmental prescriptions guiding optimal adjustments in layout, lighting, material, or acoustics
Delivered as a concise, written professional report, this document can be shared directly with your interior designer, architect, or environmental consultant as a functional design intelligence brief, transforming subjective feelings into actionable design parameters.
3. Pathway Recommendation
A data-driven recommendation outlining your most appropriate next step:
Self-Directed Optimisation: guided spatial and sensory refinements you can begin immediately
NeuroDesign Blueprint™ Integration: a collaborative calibration with our studio
Turnkey Design & Build: a full sensory architecture implementation
This is not a questionnaire or moodboard exercise.
It is a neuro-architectural decoding process combining environmental psychology, neuroscience, and spatial design strategy.
It does not diagnose medical or psychological conditions.
It identifies how your built environment interacts with your nervous system, and provides the design metrics to realign it.
If you are managing a renovation project, working with an architect or have an urgent deadline, please get in touch with us directly to discuss your requirements.
The NeuroDesign Blueprint™ Integration
Remote — €6,500
In-Person (select locations) — €8,500
Your complete, evidence-based interior strategy for deep cognitive quietude and nervous system regulation.
The NeuroDesign Blueprint™ Integration is a twelve-week, evidence-based engagement that identifies precisely what living in your home is costing your nervous system and specifies exactly what needs to change.
It begins with a full Sensory Intelligence Diagnostic which forms the scientific foundation for every decision that follows.
Over twelve weeks and six structured strategy sessions, we translate your sensory profile into a precise, implementable design strategy for two priority spaces in your home.
Every recommendation is derived from your diagnostic data: the specific way your nervous system processes your home environment.
Outcomes include improvements in:
Sleep quality and circadian stability
Focus and cognitive clarity
Emotional regulation and stress resilience
Comfort and ease in shared spaces
What is included
1. Complete Sensory Intelligence Diagnostic and spatial analysis
This captures your sensory thresholds, stress triggers and circadian sensitivity, as well as the specific environmental patterns that cause friction in your daily life. The report is the design brief that underpins every specification in this project.
2. Environmental Alignment Map
A refined layout and spatial flow model addressing layout, flow, and the unconscious navigational friction that keeps your body in a low-level state of alert.
Your priority spaces will be designed to remove cognitive friction and reduce the high-effort coping behaviours your current environment demands of you.
3. Visual Quietude Protocol
Material, finish, and texture specifications calibrated to your sensory thresholds that reduce visual overstimulation and allow your threat-detection system to settle, calibrated to your specific sensory tolerances.
4. Acoustic Containment Strategy
Evidence-based methods for controlling low-frequency resonance and reducing auditory stress, calibrated specifically to your two priority spaces.
5. Circadian Anchor Lighting Plan
Exact Kelvin and Lux prescriptions for each space designed to stabilise your cortisol pattern across the day, support sustained cognitive function, and restore your natural sleep cycle.
6. Behavioural Habit Integration Guide
Spatial anchors and environmental cues that support your nervous system's adaptation to the recalibrated environment across the twelve-week period.
7. Implementation Blueprint: master document
All sourcing direction, spatial dimensions, colour directives, material specifications, and lighting data consolidated into one structured implementation document. This document is yours, regardless of who executes it.
8. Twelve weeks of guided implementation support
You will not receive a document and be left to navigate it alone. Six structured sessions across the twelve weeks give you direct access to our studio, providing guided support through every stage of implementation.
Delivery Formats
All sessions conducted via video. Diagnostic, report, and full Blueprint delivered digitally. Available across Europe and internationally.
Includes a full on-site spatial assessment at your home prior to strategy sessions. Currently available in France and select European locations.
Full Execution of Your Two Priority Spaces
Blueprint engagement fee, plus 15% of the total managed project cost for both spaces.
If you would like us to oversee the complete implementation of your two priority spaces, we will manage every element on your behalf, including sourcing, procurement, delivery and installation. You will receive a fully designed and installed environment without having to coordinate any vendors or trade relationships yourself.
The scope is determined by your Blueprint findings and your agreed project budget. Some clients require a targeted refresh of materials, lighting and furnishings. Others undertake a more structural reconfiguration.
The 15% fee applies to the total managed cost, which is confirmed before sourcing begins.
The add-on includes:
- full sourcing and procurement of all specified materials, furnishings and fittings;
- delivery coordination and logistics;
- contractor and trade oversight where structural work is involved;
- installation management and quality review;
- a final walk through on completion.
You can elect the add-on at the start of your engagement or at any point before sourcing begins. Either way, your Implementation Blueprint remains yours in full.
The blueprint will be delivered within 7–10 days of completing the diagnostics. This is then followed by a twelve-week guided implementation.
Comprehensive nervous system recalibration of your two most essential living spaces.

Here's what people are saying
About Lolade Ajai
Interior Designer. Neuroscience Researcher. Creator of The NeuroDesign Blueprint™.

I design spaces for the nervous system, not for trends.
As someone who is both highly sensitive and sensory avoidant, I have experienced firsthand how the neuroendocrine chaos can transform a familiar home into an overwhelming one. Midlife didn't just change my body; it also changed the way I experienced my home.
Drawing on my personal experience and over a decade of design expertise, I developed the NeuroDesign Blueprint™: a methodology for creating interiors that can calm even the most sensitive of nervous systems.
Now, The Sentient Home™ is bringing this approach to:
Individuals
Couples
Families and
Architectural and development partners
You Don’t Need a New Aesthetic.
You Need a New Nervous System–Environment Relationship.
When your home supports your biology, everything shifts:
Sleep deepens
Focus stabilises
Stress resilience increases
Emotional regulation improves
Relationships feel smoother
Your mind quiets
Your energy returns
How is this different from regular interior design?
Traditional design prioritises aesthetics. The NeuroDesign Blueprint™, on the other hand, prioritises how your nervous system processes your environment. We start with your biology, then design for beauty. The result is an exceptional-looking space that feels restorative at a physiological level.
I'm not sure which service tier I need.
That's precisely why the Sensory Assessment was created. Your results will show which pathway matches your needs, and the Clarity Call will confirm this.
Do you work internationally?
Yes, the Neuro-Clarity Audit and the NeuroDesign Blueprint™ Implementation Protocol can both be carried out virtually. Full-service design is available for select international projects — contact us to discuss.
What if I'm working with an architect or contractor already?
We work seamlessly alongside existing teams. Many architects and developers specifically engage us for our neuroscience and sensory design expertise, which complements their structural work.
What if I am renting or can't do major renovations?
The Blueprint can be adapted to suit your needs. Many of the interventions are non-structural, such as lighting adjustments, furniture placement, material swaps and sensory layering. Even renters can see significant changes.
